4 thick pork loin chops1/2 cup oil 1 garlic clove, minced Salt and pepper to taste 1 cup chopped onion 1 cup diced celery 2 cups,diced unpeeled apples 1 cup water 1/2 cup Craisins, optional 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper 3 cups Pork Seasoned Stuffing Mix With a sharp knife, cut a pocket in the side of each pork chop. In the bottom of a warmed and oiled 12-inch Dutch oven, brown pork chops and garlic in 1/4 cup oil. Season with salt and pepper. Remove pork chops; set aside. In same oven, cook onion and celery in remaining oil until tender. Add apples, water, Craisins if desired, salt and pepper. Add stuffing mix; mix well. Stuff into pockets in pork chops. Place pork chops in the oven. Cover and bake at 325 for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until Chops are tender. Using coals only, use 9 on the bottom and 12 on top. When using the Volcano or collapsible, use 11 coals on the bottom. |
