Being Prepared for a Disaster is Very Important

No matter where you live a Disaster could effect you. If you live on the coast, Hurricanes are a worry. If you live in the Midwest tornadoes could wipe out your area. In the Mountains and West Coast, Earthquakes are common and could be very destructive.

For those of you who don't think earthquakes are common on the West Coast and the Rocky Mountain area go to this site earthquake.usgs.gov and see how often they happen.

Less common but still possible and just as destructive are Volcanos, Massive Snow storms and Avalanches, Floods, Wild fires and the Ever increasing chances of Terrorist attacks.

For any and all of these, we need to be prepared and it is getting increasingly necessary daily it seems.

The following links are to information which everyone should Read, Heed, and Use in a Preparedness Plan against an ever increasing Hostile World.

We all know these things but figure they just won't happen to us. Well how many people, in New Orleans, thought they were safe to stay because "I've lived here for 40 years and it's never been a problem before." I, for one, saw several people (who survived, but without food or water ) who said those exact words, or some very similar. They lost everything and had to depend on the government to get them water and food ( and we all saw how that worked out ).

If you have a plan and are Prepared when a disaster hits, You and your family can survive. Don't expect the city to bring you water or the Federal Government to give you a place to live. Depend on your own Preparedness Plan to get you through for the first couple of weeks.

Floods can happen at any time and nearly anywhere.
Earthquakes and Hurricanes cause a great amount of damage and interupt everyday life.

Fire can leave Hundreds homeless in a short period of time.
Ice and Snow Storms can disrupt life in a very real way.
