PREPAREDNESS

I believe I've come upon the most important item you need to prepare for survival.   A support group.
You can prepare for almost any disaster, and put aside everything you think you'll need, but when it come right down to it you'll probably not have thought of some things you need or the disaster just isn't quite what you expected. That's the time when, for survival, it is a great advantage to have friends and family to help.
I received an email from a person who lived through the worst ice storm in the history of Kentucky begining on January 26, 2009. in this email he describes the plight of the residents in at least two towns. They had no electricity for for weeks. No heat, no water, not even grocery stores for some time and when they were able to get generators so they could open, most of the food had spoiled and delivery trucks couldn't get through.
The email goes on for some time, it is very long discribing this disaster, but you get the point. He mentions that he was able to survive because he had friends . They all got together and shared what they had and all worked to get what they needed.
In this situation a strong support group survived when many others didn't.So when you are putting away your supplies and kits and everything you can think of, include contact with your family and friends and make sure you all have a strong support group, This may even be the most inportant part of survival.

I'm truly sorry I don't know how to tell you to prepare for TERRORISTS, but it is a very real threat that we must expect. With our open borders, both North and South, it is foolish to believe that Terrorists aren't taking the opportunity to enter our country.
And now, there was a earmark for $millions to pay for thousands of Palistinians ( supporters of Hamas ) to move to our country. So we are now going to import our own Terrorists. Our government isn't protecting us, so it is up to us to be prepared when something happens.

We need to, not be afraid, but be aware of the possibility of these dangers around us.
